Did you know that JDRF has a Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes that you can easily impelment at your child’s school?
Here is your chance to benefit your school AND raise money for JDRF! The Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes is JDRF’s fastest growing fundraiser, and we are currently booking schools for Spring 2013 and the 2013-2014 school year!
The Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes is a program that teaches students about diabetes and a healthy lifestyle, while raising money to support JRF’s mission of finding a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research. This program also gives students an opportunity to help fellow classmates affected by diabetes to raise important research dollars, all while raising money for your school! JDRF’s Kids Walk is fun for the kids and easy for the teachers. It’s all about kids helping kids!
This program generally starts with a kickoff assembly, followed by several weeks of fundraising and finishing with the Walk. The great thing about the Kids Walk programis that it can be tailored to fit your school’s busy schedule. We are more than happy to work with you to adjust the program to better accommodate your needs.
Some of the highlights of the program include:
- Your school receives 10% of the money raised.
- Your school will receive a banner to display showing the total money raised.
- Students earn fabulous prizes depending on the amount of money they collect.
- We provide a turn-key program that requires very little support from school staff – we do most of the work!
