The national JDRF Gala program raised $56.6 million in FY12 in support of JDRF’s mission, to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D). The Central Oklahoma’s Hope Gala has over 250 attendees of Oklahoma City’s prominent community and corporations gather to commemorate JDRF’s momentous progress in diabetes research. The elegant black-tie evening features a seated dinner and spectacular live and silent auctions. The evening’s excitement culminates during Fund A Cure where 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to diabetes research. The gala also honors an individual or company that has contributed to the betterment of our community and has has an impact on research and advocacy for T1D. This year’s gala honoree is the Honorable Dan Boren.
